Villa Pondok Batu Description
Literally Pondok Batu is the Indonesian word for house made of stone. Villa Pondok Batu is a magnificent home with major element of its material is made of various kind of stone.Villa Pondok Batu is a ten minute walk from the Echo beach in Canggu, famous for its scenery, rice field views and laid back lifestyle, yet only a 15 minute drive from the best shopping, restaurants and nightlife the island has to offer.
The villa can comfortably accommodate 12 people (with extra room at the office building) although it is also still affordable as a romantic hideaway for a couple.
With five friendly staff to look after you, its luscious tropical gardens (800m2) and award winning pool (100m2), the villa is your own haven in Bali.
Villa Pondok Batu Accommodation
The villa (500m2) sits on a half acre plot of land with mature gardens and wide rice-field views at its sunset direction. The main structure (2 storeys) is divided into two parts: bedrooms are placed on the right wing while living & dining area are placed on the left wing. All parts are facing the pool.Pondok Batu has four marble floored bedrooms; each is fully dressed with double-bed (2 king and 2 queen) with A/C, fan and en-suite bathroom with hot and cold water. Two beds are covered with mosquito nets and one bedroom has a terrazzo bathtub. Uniquely each bedroom has its own personalized character.
To provide a comfortable living, the villa has a bright enclosed or open air concept kitchen (located upstairs) fully equipped with cooking and dining utensils. There are two dining tables: a covered outdoor terrace which seats six (upstairs) and downstairs at the living area with 8 seats.
The spacious living-room area itself is located downstairs facing the pool completed with a satellite TV and CD/DVD facilities, a small library with a broad range of movies and books for all tastes.
The strong appearance of the structure is balanced with its beautiful tropical garden: nice arrangement of green lawn, frangipani, Japanese bamboes, palm and flowers. To get a comfortable days, the villa boasts its free-shape swimming pool including a special part for children. This special pool can only be found at a very few number of villas in Bali; it is to serve a family with small children.
A bale, equipped with fan, and a bar are located at the far end of the pool, which provide a shaded area for guests who enjoy outdoor lounging. A traditional Jineng (kind of rice barn from Bali) is located at the backside of the villa where guests can enjoy a relaxing Balinese massage.
At right side of the entrance (parking area), a separate Lombok style building (110 m2) is equipped with an additional two bedrooms with double-beds each with A/C, fan, balcony and a shared toilet/bathroom are available on request for an additional fee.
